01
Before you start
A dollar account holds an amount in dollars. For an overall view, Spendella can convert different currencies into the main currency. Report conversion does not exchange money at your bank.
02
What to do
- Open workspace settings and check the main currency.
- Enable multiple currencies if you need them and the option is available.
- Create a separate account in the appropriate currency.
- Record purchases in that account’s currency. Do not enter a rouble equivalent in place of dollars.
- Check the currency symbol in the overall balance; open the individual account when comparing with your bank.
03
If something goes wrong
- Summary differs from the bank: compare currencies and conversion.
- Changing the report currency is not a bank transaction or income.
- Do not correct an exchange rate with a fictitious purchase. Check account and transfer details first.
What you should see
Accounts retain their own currencies while summary amounts use the report currency.
