How Spendella calculates analytics

Where the numbers come from

Every card is built from transactions you added by hand, voice, receipt, or import. If there are none, the block stays empty. Spendella does not fill gaps with market averages.

Expense, income, and saved are sums for the selected period.
Categories and merchants group those same rows.
Daily average is period spend divided by elapsed days.

Period comparison uses the elapsed slice

On 14 August, this month is compared with 1–14 July, not the whole of July. Otherwise a “40% increase” appears simply because last month is already complete.

A month is compared with the same number of days in the previous month.
Quarter and year work the same way: only the elapsed part.
All-time has no clean twin, so deltas stay conservative.

What Basic includes vs what AI adds

Balance forecast, spending rhythm, top merchants, and period comparison are tracking features on Basic (199 ₽). AI does not draw those charts. AI is for “why did this happen” and automatic reports.
